Seafield Ladies Rink at Ayr
After winning the Bowls Scotland District 14 championship, the ladies of Seafield travelled to Ayr as district representatives in the finals. Congratulations to Eileen Aitchison, Linda Shiels, Fiona Crowther, Louise Bryson and Marion Stout. This was the first time for many years that we had a team to Ayr and many members went through to support them. Unfortunately they were pipped to qualify for the later rounds but it was a great experience for the players and supporters and we all hope that we have many more opportunities to go to the finals in future.
The Seafield support making their presence felt at Ayr. Our distinctive tops definitely made a statement as we sat en masse behind the green.

At long last, the sprinkler system was reinstated!
By June 2023 our green was desperately in need of a drink. Following the rebuild of the machine shed and the replacement of the water pump and sprinkler heads we finally managed to get the sprinklers working again, so no need to spend many hours manually watering with a hose. I am sure that the guys who had spent hours doing the watering for the last two years all had a big sigh of relief!
